| Quest AV's AB2C is a high performance
stereo balancing, unbalancing and level-shifting interface used to inter-connect domestic,
semi-professional and professional audio equipment. Balanced inputs and outputs are 3-pin XLR's at the rear of the unit. The unbalanced inputs and outputs are available at the front panel (RCA's) and rear panel (3.5mm stereo mini-jacks) for maximum versatility. There are internal jumpers provided for pin 2 or pin 3 of |
the XLR's to be "Hot" (+ve
phase) and the Input and Output screens of the XLR's may be disconnected (factory
defaults:- pin 3 Hot and screens connected to ground). The balanced output circuits automatically compensate if either pin 2 or pin 3 of the XLR's are connected to pin 1 (ground). Sufficient gain and attenuation are provided by the front panel adjustments to cope with the highest and lowest audio levels. |
The headroom, frequency response, noise
and distortion specifications are impeccable, making the AB2C truly transparent to the
audio chain. Three units will fit side-by-side on most rack trays or on top of other rack-mount equipment. The AB2C's front panel is 1RU high. Mains supplies of 240V & 120V are catered for and a 12-24Vdc version is available to order. Signature blue Power On led. |
