Multi-standard

The CYP CTB-530 TBC accepts PAL, PALM, PALN, NTSC, NTSC443 & SECAM input as Composite or S-Video, resamples and stabilises the signal also removing all non-standard content (sometimes referred to as "piggy-back" pulses) to output the same standard as the input signal. Standard selection can be Automatic or Manual.

S-Video (Y/C)
and Composite
Video Inputs

Because the CTB-530 has S-Video inputs the higher picture quality of S-Video is maintained. A digital comb-filter converts Composite video input to high quality Y/C for  internal processing.

Steady Levels

An automatic gain control (AGC) keeps the video output levels normal even if the input level is high or low or changing.

Two Inputs
for Video & Audio

There are two inputs. Each can be Composite or S-Video. Audio has not been forgotten either... Two stereo inputs are provided so that the audio is switched with the video. Note that no audio processing takes place.

S-Video, Composite
and YUV Outputs

All three outputs are present simultaneously.

Adjustments

Front-panel user-adjustable settings for Brightness, Contrast, Colour Saturation, Tint (NTSC only), Pattern Generator, *H timing and *Chroma shift are provided.                                                        *Genlock mode only.

Colour Bars

When there is no input, the CTB-530 outputs 100% colour bars in the selected output standard. You can also select from Black or six other colours including White if you do not want the colour bars.

Genlock

The CTB-530 also provides a loop-through genlock input and front-panel adjustment of H timing to allow the outputs of two or more CTB-530s to be locked together using an external reference. In genlock mode the chroma can be shifted up and down 3 lines to compensate for colour-bleed.
