This is the Quest AV model DVS5s five output S-Video (Y/C) and stereo audio distribution amplifier, designed and manufactured by Quest Electronics Pty Limited (that's us!) right here in Australia.
Two versions of the DVS5 are available, the DVS5c for composite video and the DVS5s for S-Video.

VIDEO -

The video section of the DVS5s is for Y/C with the usual miniature 4 pin DIN sockets. All video inputs and outputs are 75 ohms. The video circuitry is identical for the Y and C channels featuring low noise and high resolution to preserve the quality of your video. There is a very convenient additional composite video monitor output on the front panel.

AUDIO -

Both versions of the DVS5 have the same stereo audio section featuring:- Separate front-panel controls for left and right levels, five low impedance stereo outputs capable of driving long cables, very low noise and distortion, wide band-width and a front panel 3.5mm stereo mini-jack stereo monitor output. The audio monitor output can drive line level inputs on amplifiers, high / medium / low impedance headphones, or even speakers and has it's own stereo volume control.

POWER -

The DVS5 is provided with a 12Vdc mains adaptor, and can also be powered from a DC supply between 12 and 24Vdc without any effect on the performance of the unit. The DVS5 draws an almost constant 2.5 Watts at any supply voltage between 12 and 24Vdc (this increases when driving loudspeakers or low impedance headphones from the Audio Monitor output). Because the DVS5 runs from a single DC supply, it can easily be employed in 12V or 24V portable applications or in remote locations. The dc input is reverse polarity protected.
